Bereaved families and friends want lessons to be learnt following inquests so that others don’t experience the same loss.
There is currently no mechanism to gather data following inquests nor a process for reviewing this data or following up on whether actions promised after inquests were acted on. The Preventable Deaths Tracker is trying to change that.
We are a very small, dedicated team that has no core funding.
Support the Tracker by
- downloading the databases,
- commissioning a seminar, podcast, or blog,
- becoming a paid subscriber to the newsletter,
- commissioning a data request or bespoke study,
- sharing and citing the Preventable Deaths Tracker website.
With support, the Tracker could:
- Build interactive dashboards, making the Tracker more searchable and user-friendly.
- Conduct rapid analytics to identify key lessons and preventable death “alerts”.
- Share who has and has not responded to the coroner, showcasing their actions taken.
- Compare addressees’ response performance to increase accountability.
- Provide training on how to use the Preventable Deaths Tracker.
- Enable access to all the tools and databases.
- Deliver and respond faster to queries.
